Plan Details Business Rules
Summary: This release enhances plan detail pages with configurable business rules that streamline data entry and improve clarity. What previously required custom JavaScript can now be achieved through simple configuration, allowing organizations to tailor page behavior based on plan context, making management more efficient and aligned with business needs.
- Conditional Field and Section Visibility: Show or hide fields and entire sections based on plan data, ensuring users see only what’s relevant.
- Conditional Required Fields: Automatically require field values when certain conditions are met, improving data completeness.
- Conditional Read-Only Fields: Make fields read-only under specific scenarios to protect critical information.
Financial Plan
Summary: This release enhances financial planning by enabling cost categorization when importing labor data from the Resource Plan and applying time-phased actual cost tables for more accurate cost calculations.
- Accurate Cost Categorization: Resources planned with specific categorizations (e.g., capital or operational expense) in the resource plan are imported into the financial plan with the correct cost category.
- Time-phased Actual Cost Import: When importing hours from the Work Plan, Resource Plan, and Timesheets, time-phased actual cost tables are now used to calculate costs accurately based on current and historical costs.
- Flexible Daily/Weekly Import Support: Financial Plans configured with daily / weekly planning can now import data from work plans, resource plans and timesheets into the correct time intervals, regardless of the original format, ensuring consistent and accurate time-phased financial tracking.
Work Plan
Summary: This release enhances cost tracking and allocation flexibility in the Work Plan by leveraging time-phased actual cost tables, helping teams manage work more effectively and plan with greater accuracy.
- Time-phased Cost Accuracy: Work Plan cost calculations now use time-phased actual cost tables for resources, ensuring labor costs reflect current and historical rates.
- Expanded Resource Assignment Limits: Plan managers can now assign resources to work items up to 1000% in the Assigned Resource field, supporting more flexible allocation scenarios.
- Half-Hour Calendar Support: Resource calendars can now be formatted in half-hour increments, allowing for more precise planning, such as defining a 7.5-hour workday.
- Critical Work Item Reporting: Work Plan reporting now supports the Critical Work Item value, helping teams identify and analyze critical path activities more effectively.
Portfolio Plan
Summary: This release introduces enhanced grouping and board configuration options in Portfolio views, empowering users to organize and visualize plans more flexibly using multiselect fields.
- Portfolio List Multi Value Grouping: Group plans by Multiselect Choice and Multiselect Lookup fields in the portfolio list view, making it easier to organize and analyze portfolios by multiple criteria.
- Portfolio Board Multi Value Columns and Lanes: Configure board columns and lanes using Multiselect Choice and Multiselect Lookup fields, allowing for more dynamic and tailored portfolio board layouts.
- Column and Lane Filtering Behavior: When filtering on a multiselect field used for board columns or lanes, any unselected values will be removed from the board view, keeping the layout focused and relevant.
- Portfolio Roadmap Multi Value Grouping: Generate grouping in the Portfolio Roadmap with Multiselect Choice and Multiselect Lookup fields, providing more precise visual segmentation and improved roadmap insights.
- Pre-Filter Scope Control: Pre-filters now apply only to relevant plan types, preventing unintended filtering of unrelated plans and ensuring more accurate and focused portfolio views.
Portfolio Modeler
Summary: This release introduces constraint and benefit highlighting in the Portfolio Modeler, empowering managers to make better scenario decisions with clear visual cues, real-time feedback, and easier adjustments.
- Constraint and Benefit Highlighting: Plans exceeding constraint targets are highlighted in red, while those meeting benefit targets are highlighted in green, making it easy to spot issues and opportunities.
- Target Adjustments: Quickly adjust constraint and benefit targets within the Modeler for more flexible and efficient scenario planning.
- Model and Scenario Management: Administrators can now manage and delete models and scenarios from any model, providing greater control and flexibility in maintaining planning environments.
Comments
Summary: This release enhances the comment experience, empowering users to collaborate more effectively with rich text entry in comment threads. Rich text provides users with formatting options such as bold, italics, bullet points, and hyperlinks, allowing for more transparent communication, more detailed feedback, and easier organization of information within comments.
- Comment Rich Text: Added rich text formatting to comments, enabling users to communicate more clearly and share detailed feedback.
- Improved User Experience: Enhanced layout makes commenting more intuitive and efficient, helping users collaborate with greater ease and clarity.
- Comment Management: Administrators can now delete and remove any comments from item threads, providing better control over content and collaboration history.
Built-In Dashboards
Summary: This release enhances dashboard functionality with a new Pivot Chart widget for Timesheet data and the ability to export visualizations, helping teams analyze work more effectively and share insights with ease.
- Timesheet Pivot Chart: Visualize timesheet data with interactive pivot charts, enabling users to quickly analyze work patterns and make informed decisions.
- Visualization Export: Dashboards now support exporting visualizations for external use and sharing, making it easier to communicate insights across teams and stakeholders.
OData Reporting
Summary: This release enhances OData reporting in OnePlan with advanced date filtering, empowering users to generate more targeted and actionable reports. In addition, general updates have been made to improve performance, ensuring faster and more reliable access to reporting data across Resource Plan and Financial Plan data.
- Performance Improvements: Optimized data loading across Resource Plan and Financial Plan OData tables ensures faster access to reporting data, especially for large datasets.
- Advanced Date Filtering: Apply greater than, less than, and inclusive date filters to Resource Plan and Financial Plan tables, enabling more precise and targeted reporting.
Plan Status Reports
Summary: Plan Status Reports will now export with improved formatting, making it easier to share and present plan updates.
- Improved Readability: All table sections now include borders, providing clearer structure and easier readability across exported formats.
SharePoint Integration
Summary: This release enhances the Microsoft SharePoint integration in OnePlan, empowering users to connect Plans to existing SharePoint sites for more flexible and efficient collaboration.
- Connect Existing SharePoint Sites: Easily connect Plans to existing SharePoint sites, streamlining setup and improving alignment with organizational structures.
New! Businessmap Integration
Summary: OnePlan now offers a brand-new integration with Businessmap, making it easier to manage plans and tasks across both platforms.
- Seamless Work Import: Quickly import work items from Businessmap into OnePlan, with Businessmap cards automatically mapped to your Work Plan schedule.
- Create Initiatives: Sync Plans from OnePlan into Businessmap initiatives.
- Two-Way Data Sync: Keep Businessmap and OnePlan updated with periodic synchronization.
- Increased Efficiency: Reduce manual updates and manage Businessmap cards within OnePlan to streamline workflows.
Power Automate Templates
Summary: We’ve released new Power Automate templates, making it easier to automate common scenarios.
- Refresh Power BI When a Process Step Changes: Automatically refresh a dataset used for reporting in Power BI, when a process step changes.
- Create a Plan When a Zendesk Ticket is Created: When a new ticket is created in Zendesk, automatically create a new plan in OnePlan.
New! OnePlan Migration Tool
Summary: A new Migration Tool has been added to OneConnect to support bulk data imports from external sources. This tool simplifies onboarding and data migrations by allowing users to bring in structured data from legacy systems or spreadsheets directly into OnePlan.
- CSV Import: Data can be imported from CSV files to support any type of source system.
- Supported Data: The following are supported: Plans, Work Plan Items (Tasks, Risks, Issues, etc.), Resource Plans, Financial Plans and Resources.
